Willy Toledo spokesperson for Independence Flotilla:

05/09/2010: The Observatory for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories of Western Sahara announced that actor Guillermo Toledo and Isabel Galeote will be the spokespersons of the "Mahfoud Ali Beiba Independence Flotilla" that will depart from the Canaries to El Aaiun, Spanish News Agency, EFE, reported Saturday.

This initiative will bring together people, entities, organizations and institutions "in solidarity with the Saharawi cause from different parts of the world," the Observatory explained in a statement.

The NGO stated that the mission will depart from the Canaries to the port of El Aaiun, the capital of Western Sahara, "the territory occupied by Morocco since 35 years ago."

The Observatory is grateful to all the anonymous people, personalities, media and civil society organizations in general, both from Spain and other countries, "shown interest and expressed commitment and support to the Flotilla of Independence, "an initiative open to everyone."
