Moroccan security forces suppressed demonstrations of Sahrawi citizens and wounding two of them with varying severity injuries in LAAYOUNE/ WESTERN SAHARA
The young Saharawi of 18 years old “ JAWHAR BOUGARFA” has injured with Bruises on the body , and the other of 19 years old “ BRAHIM DAWDI “ broke on his left hand after run them over with a car of the Moroccan auxiliary forces when they were participating in a demonstration organized at (21:00) in “HAY MATALA “ that demand the right of self-determination for the Saharawi people and to condemn the Moroccan's repeated provocations Which comes as part of the Propaganda Carried out by the Moroccan authorities to success the new Moroccan Constitution.
The repercussions of the incident appeared on the bodies of the victims as the young “ JAWHAR BOUGARFA” was no longer able to stand due to injuries suffered at throughout the body, In addition to the civil protection authorities refusal to rescue the victims, especially “ BRAHIM DAWDI” Who suffered a fracture in his left hand.
It should also be pointed out that the family home of “ ZOUGAM” was raided in “ HAY MAATALA district” by the Moroccan forces and terrorize the family especially the father “ BRAHIM ZOUGAM “ aged 76 years old.
It should be noted that the Moroccan authorities charge the Moroccan settlers to take to the streets To undermine the Sahrawis by dirty words Which may increase the seriousness of the situation in the region after the adoption of the Moroccan authorities to the new indirect methods of force against the Sahrawis , Which puts their safety at risk in the various cases.
Accordingly, the Committee for the Defense for the right of self-determination for the people of Western Sahara is Emphasizing the need to respect human rights in Western Sahara and demanding the international community put pressure on Morocco to stop repressive tactics that affect the Sahrawis civilians in Western Sahara And allow them to express their opinions freely to ensure their right to peaceful demonstration.
