University open days on Western Sahara at University of Madrid May 26 to 29:

Madrid, May 25, 2010: Spanish public and independent universities in Madrid are preparing to supervise the fourth days of solidarity with the Sahrawi cause on May 26 to 29, according to the correspondent of Sahrawi News Agency (SPS) in Madrid.

The Program adopted by the University of Madrid and many universities have engaged in it, has been organizing activities during the month of May for four years, and intends to implement educational and scientific projects in Sahrawi refugee camps, according to one of the organizers.

The Spanish Universities will study, along with a Sahrawi high-level delegation, many political, cultural and human rights aspects based on the results of the last visit preview by the deans of the universities to the Sahrawi refugee camps.

It should be recalled, the third session was held last year, at the end of May, where the Spanish universities ratified the establishment of world academic secretariat for the benefit of Tifariti University Project in the liberated Sahrawi territories, including Algeria and Spanish universities, Nicaraguan University of Managua, Cuban University of Havana and Spanish regional universities from Seville, Basque region, Gerona and Murcia.

Madrid public and independent universities also organized last year a conference on reconstruction of the liberated territories and Sahrawi University in the liberated town of Tifariti.
