Western Sahara still on agenda of decolonization and human rights (Conference):

Madrid, 26 May, 2010: The works of the fourth universities study days started Wednesday at the Fine Arts Center in the Spanish capital, Madrid, under the theme " Western Sahara is still on the agenda of decolonization and human rights," with the participation of a large Sahrawi delegation headed by the Prime Minister, Abdelkader Taleb-Omar.

In his speech before the attendance, the Prime Minister, Abdelkader Taleb-Omar, drew attention to situation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara and French position in support of the Moroccan regime, pointing to recent statements of the Deputy President of the Spanish government concerning the UN mission in Western Sahara (MINURSO) and their consistency with the international legality.

On his part, the American professor of the University of San Francisco gave an intervention under the title "Western Sahara and the United Nations, final option for decolonization" focused on the uprising in the occupied territories.

In the evening, round tables were held hosted by international figures on topics such as: the possible solutions to the conflict in Western Sahara, decolonization and the international situation, political solutions to the conflict, decolonization, how the Western Sahara conflict remains on the list of 16 territories still waiting for the right to self determination .

It should be recalled, the works of the fourth universities study days are supervised by the Madrid six universities in coordination with institute of employment, women and migration in Madrid province.
