Saharawi political prisoner transfers to hospital amid terrible health condition:
Tiznit (Morocco), September 4, 2010: The administration of the Moroccan prison of Tiznit has transferred Thursday the Saharawi political prisoner, Ali Bouamud, to hospital due to deteriorations in his health, as reported by the Association for the Protection of Saharawi Prisoners in Moroccan Prisons.
The family of the Saharawi political prisoner told the Association that the transfer of their son to the hospital came after his health deteriorated, where he suffered severe pains at the level of his right side.
The family added that their son, 22 years, has been deliberately neglected without undergoing medical treatments to check up the cause of his suffering, but returned him to prison in a deplorable state when he put under tight security guard by the administration of Tiznit’s prison and prevent his companions from contact with him.
Bouamud’ family has appealed to all international organizations to intervene and press on Moroccan state to save life of their son and all Saharawi political prisoners who subjected to daily torture inside the Moroccan prisons.
It is note worthy that Ali Bouamud was arrested December 2, 2008 in the city of TanTan, southern Morocco, on the ground of his participation on peaceful demonstrations in the city, where he sentenced to four years of prison enforce in the same file which tracks the human rights activist, Yahia Mohamed Hafed, and others.
Most of the Saharawi political prisoners are suffering chronic diseases due to several indefinite hunger strikes and their miserable conditions inside the Moroccan prisons.
